A word to those want to download the original game

Download the game here

I've added this part because a number of people have expressed interest in downloading the original game. Before I delve into a discussion of this, know that the official site (in Japanese) is here. Because it's hard to understand what's going on there, a recently updated download link can be found here (this is the same link that now appears at the top of the page. Please let me know if you have trouble downloading for whatever reason). An album containing all the dirty images in the game is here (link updated).

Now that you have what you came for, please note that this game will not run on your computer unless you have Japanese language enabled. This can be a bit of a pain because, if you are running Windows, you'll need the original Windows CD to get this to work. If you're on a Mac, I'm not sure how to do it, but someone pointed out to me that you might be able to use Virtual PC for this (I have not tried this, myself). Even more exasperating is the fact that sometimes even after you enable Japanese language, the game still won't run. That's what happened to me, and I had to fiddle with it for a while until I got it to work (in all honesty, I'm not even sure what it is that I ultimately did to get it to work).

That said, while I fully understand the curiosity you feel that drives you to to look for the original, please note that the very reason I took on the translation is because the game was aggravatingly un-fun for me when I couldn't understand anything. There are no voices in the game but merely elevator music and some pretty clinking sounds in the scenes between the days and when you hit save. But go ahead and download it if you want - hell, I did.
